As a stroke survivor, I have three primary focuses: to educate the public about how to prevent strokes, to educate them about how to recognize stroke symptoms and to get help quickly -- either for themselves or for someone else who may be experiencing a stroke; and, lastly, to improve support for patients after they leave the hospital, as this was an area that I, myself, was challenged with following my stroke.

In addition to my efforts to help others avoid strokes or at least recover from them, I'm the father of two terrific college-aged kids, a Systems Engineer in I.T. for a local college, and in my spare time I restore and upgrade classic vehicles and write books and magazine articles about the processes.
